RCA F19430 Wind strom outage

Hi All
My neighbor asked me to look at their two TVs that will not come back on after a power outage from a wind storm we had a week or so ago. One is an RCA model F19430, chassis CN-001N. I can't find it in Sam's, is there a CTC # for this set? The fuse is open and the regulator IC (MA8630) is shorted between all 7 leads. Just wondering if there is something further I should check before I replace the IC & maybe have the new part blow again? There is no NTE # for it & MCM has discontinued the IC. Where can I get one? MCM had it at one time for $14.49 (not too cheap!). Sigh...another landfill addition, I suppose.
Hopefully their other TV, a 42" Sanyo (AVM3651G) will be just a fuse...at least there is a Sam's for that one.
Thanks in advance for anyone's 2 cents.

That's a Daewoo chassis and probably not worth the effort. I tossed a couple of those a few months ago. One had a bad regulator IC and the other had a bad flyback. You might try www.tritronicsinc.com for that IC. If they don't have it at a reasonable cost, I'd probably junk it.

You'll probably have more luck with the sanyo. Check the rectifier diodes and the voltage regulator transistor if the fuse is blown.
