Best/Worst Film Poster Tag Lines
 

Two I like, for different reasons:

Tom Cruise (and Bryan Brown) play celebrity bartenders in "Cocktail", bringing in booming business.
The line on the poster:

"When He Pours, He Reigns"....:banana: :no: :yes: :D
Whoever came up with that one...should either be shot or get an award :thmbsp: (I'm rather amazed Morton's didn't sue.)

And "Alien", for entirely different reasons:
"In Space, Noone Can Hear You Scream".

I like the combination of simple scientific fact and one of the oldest lines in horror movies. Smartly done.

Any other that stick in anyone's minds?

Who's Noone?

The huge mother alien at the end of the movie. You seriously didn't know that?

Any kin to Peter?
 

The alien is named Noone?

His first name is Peter. :D

And where does Mrs. Brown fit in?
 

So the alien is a "hermit"?

But the daughter was LOVELY....

I think the WORSE tag line I've ever seen was in "Motel Hell". The tagline was "It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent fritters" Absolutely hysterical! I would be in the subway in NY and see that movie poster and it would crack me up. It was a horror movie with western movie actor Rory Calhoun playing a guy that would kill guests at his motel and then he and his wife would make sausages from them. A real classic family film :D

I don't know if it counts as a tagline or not but years ago when I was in the Coast Guard in Milwaukee, I heard a radio spot for a movie called "Island of Lost Virgins."

Lusty, busty maidens dripping with the first fruits of desire.

A 1970s Stock Car racin' movie.

I haven't seen it but I understand it's pretty good.

"In the battle between man and the universe...back the universe.".

From the 1996 Arnold flick "Raw Deal"

"The system gave him a raw deal. Nobody gives him a raw deal."

The alternate tag line was even better: "His trigger has all the answers."

"Listen to the sound of love. Feel purple. Taste green. Touch the scream that crawls up the wall!" - from the 1967 Peter Fonda flick "The Trip."

I have read that, "The Ultimate Trip" was the tagline of later releases as they discovered that many were dosing up before seeing the film.
