Casablanca on Laserdisc
 

My father-in-law and I just finished watching Casablanca on Laserdisc. He'd never seen LDs before. I don't have a huge collection or anything, but do have about 30 movies. I'd like to add to my collection sometime, so I may have to start searching ebay for some titles.

But it was a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a cold Saturday afternoon. I always enjoy watching classic movies.

I watched Taras Bulba and The Lighthorsemen on LD a couple of days ago.
I still use LDs of pictures that aren't on DVD but if a picture comes out on DVD I toss the LD unless it's something special, like the big Wayneamo LD, the DVD isn't as inclusive as the special edition LD was.

Or Zulu which is multi-track on LD but mono on DVD. (?!?)

Geez man, don't toss them out. Offer them up around here. PM me of any you ever want to get rid of. What can I say, I'm just a collector of old things.

Casablanca. One of my very favorite movies.

There are so many good movies that can be picked up on laserdisc these days for just a song.Still a fun format,IMO.I still purchase them when I see something special.Casablanca..good choice for a laid back movie day.
