I am very excited to see the gang again! The show remind's me of my home state of New York. Some of my friends dads had mafia ties but I in no way grew up around wiseguys. My family being off the boat, I just appreciate the nuances of my Italian heritage and how the show pegs the culture and environments!

Anyone else think Tony looks like he's packed on some pounds? I guess this season is talking place a couple years after Adriana getting bumped off? That's kinda weird?

That security guard incident was disturbing to say the least!!!!

Best series on tv ever. It's filmed in my wife's hometown. She recognizes everythig.

paulie and chrissy lost in the woods after chasing their russian buddy just had to be about the funniest episode I ever saw,,,,,when paulie flipped off his "home-made" sneaker and shot the shit outa the thing I laughed til it hurt.... and dont forget the awesome banquet they had in the van..... :banana: z

Just finished re-watching all the episodes on HBO on-demand. According to the Sopranos' blog over at HBO.com, the first show of season six is supposed to pretty violent :yes: .

I was asking myself the same question. It sure looked like he could have put his damn feet back on the speaker but I guess it was his time to go. And what's up with Tony and Carmella being all chummy again? Tony eating sushi just doesn't seem right. Reminds me of when Juniors GF bragged about Juniors exploits in the bedroom. Junior is a few cards short of a deck now. Wonder how long til he takes a dirt nap?? :yes:

Wow! It was like a season finale not a beginning.

Time has passed since the last season and Tony and Carmilla have been together for awhile since the reconcilled. I think two years is what I read somewhere. A hint is Tony called his son college boy and he was in high school last season.

Total shocker when alzheimer ridden Uncle Jr. plugs Tony is the stomach thinking he was a nemesis from the old days who owed him money.

That guy who hung himself, why didn;t he just offer Tony like 1/2 of the 2 million inheritence to "retire"? I am sure Tony would have let him go for a million bucks ;)

I don't think you can retire. Eugene was a "made guy" and as such had pledged his eternal loyalty to the family. Retiring means you are no longer involved and thus become a liability resulting from the extensive knowledge of their wrongdoings. Of course, being that he had flipped, he already was a liability.

He did not hang himself cuz Tony said no. His family life was detiorating, the Feds had him, and Tony might have killed him due to his request to retire. There was no way out, although I would have taken the inheritance and fled to South America.

Who here thinks that with Tony almost dying he is having a change of heart about his belief system. I think the writers are going to run with this idea since they have alluded to him being WEAK in the next shows previews. I can see the writers using this near death experience to show the passive side of Tony's character. Also the conflict that will arise now when he has to make a life or death decision. How he will wrestle with his inner self now that he has experienced something akin to dying. Dr Melfi will have her hands FULL with Tony now more that ever.
