Anyone know anything about PACCOM electrolytics? I couldn't find anything bad written about them on the web, but I had a piece of equipment at work fail and all three PACCOM electrolytics had ESRs in the 200 ohm range. The Sprague electrolytics were fine. They were used quite conservatively at room temperature so I was surprise to find they had dried up so much.

Paccom has a several page spread in my copy of the 1997 Electronics Engineer's Master guide - looks like a US company making things (caps and resistors) in Taiwan. I've got an old AT&T telephone system power supply (24V/8.5A) that's full of them. Most are 2200uf/85 degree types, with .08-.11 ohms ESR on my Sencore LC102. Date codes are 99 and 00, so they seem to be holding up. I'm using the power supply for low voltage lighting - it gets about 5 hours use a day.

I can't find anything on the 'net saying anything much about them, so YMMV. Now if I could only get those dang Chinese MIEC caps out of stuff....last one oozed real good - ate a plastic label on the circuit board and a small trace.
