View Full Version : Found a CTC-38 (sort of) andy 11-09-2010, 08:42 PM ... bgadow 11-09-2010, 09:57 PM Pretty neat...seem to be a lot of orphaned combos around and I would think many of those could receive this transplant without to much trouble. A good save just for the flyback. Zenith26kc20 11-10-2010, 12:48 PM You can always make a Frankenset out of it! DaveWM 11-10-2010, 01:11 PM frankenset..frankenset....frankenset...... freakaftr8 11-10-2010, 02:30 PM Ahhhh the recieving end of a fishtank.. At least you scored it.. ctc17 11-10-2010, 09:02 PM If that is a High Light crt they produce a great picture. As far as parts go, ctc17-35 had mostly interchangeable parts. 38 is a different beast. This is then they started to move into solid state. Looks like the convergence board didnt make it. Good crt to practice cataract removal on. radiotvnut 11-10-2010, 09:59 PM Yeah, the 38 and the updated 39 were the last two chassis that were used in RCA console sets. I think the 38 was made from '68-'70 and the 39 was from '71-'74. freakaftr8 11-14-2010, 01:03 AM That sounds about right. damen 11-14-2010, 11:07 AM Here is a 1968 RCA ad that shows a couple of sets that may have been like the one you have. andy 11-14-2010, 11:07 AM ... freakaftr8 11-14-2010, 06:42 PM Doug has one on his picturetrail site |
