WTB: Magnavox Stereo Theater

I am looking to buy a Magnavox Stereo Theater, model 1MV419M. Models that I would consider also are 3MV415M, 1MR420M, 1MV420M, 1MR422M, 3MV416M, 4MV416M, 1MV356R, 1MV358R. Let me know what you have. We will have to work together on shipping, but, per forum rules, price and shipping to 65355. Thank you.

I thought I was in the "For Sale threads." I'm kinda new here. I don't see what you are referring to.

I thank you as well, Celt.

C67, yours is an Astro-Sonic model, which has a SS stereo system. The numbers I listed above are all tube, with a 24" or 217" black and white TV set. Sorry, I can't use yours, but I thank you for your consideration.

I need one of the specific models I listed above to fill a spot in my Magnavox stereo collection.

Hope you find one, unfortunately the audio guys tend to get stuff like this and rip out the amps, so its hard to find them complete. If so they are generally worth more pulling the amp and selling it on ebay for 100-150$

All I can do is to keep looking, I guess. If any of you should happen to find one for sale, and if you would let me know about it, that would be great.

I only heard that with the tube amps, not the solid states and most of the color sets had solid state stereos, while the TV's were all tube.

color sets were late enough to have astrosonics only (which btw sound very good). I like them for the use of the amp on the TV sound.

the op is looking for a B&W some of them had tubes some had astrosonics. My BW is a 24" model with a astrosonic and phantom remote. Nice clean set.

The only B/W set i ran into, was the 27" solid state TV and Astrosonic stereo. I have no doubt, they made a 24" model as well.
The Astrosonics did sound great, but I didn't realize there was a following.

I like mine since it has the good speaker combo (12's and horns) plus the wood finish of the early mid 60's is rather understated making it a bit less garish than some of the early 70's. The TV chassis is that cheap 1/2 vert but it make a decent pic with a good tube. I use it mainly for watching BW programing and the sound is great. The TT is not bad either, and a lot of fun to demo the auto changing. The phantom remote is good too since it lets me mute or adj the volume for TV or radio or phono.

The models I listed that I wanted are all tube. The models I listed starting with a "3" such as 1MV356 would have a 24" black and white TV. The models starting with "4" such as 3MV416 would have a 27" black and white TV. Some have remote control as options, a couple have it standard. Confusing, to be sure, but such was Magnavox sometimes. Thank you all for keeping your eyes open. One of these is on my bucket list.
