Hi from Western Victoria, Australia
Hi everyone. Not new to collecting or repairing vintage equipment, but new to this website. I've joined because I am hoping to get a couple of late 40s, early 50s US sets for my collection - probably via ebay - and might need some advice from you guys! If there are any Australian collectors on here, well let me know. I have quite a few 50s sets and spares - I may be able to help you out.

I'm one of the Australian collectors here but I don't post very often. My collection is mostly from the 1960's onwards but I do have a few 1950's TV's. I'm in Inner Western Victoria.

Hello Robert, and welcome to VideoKarma. I know that there are collectors in Victoria. I live in the US but visit my daughter in Melbourne, VIC often. Maybe we could "Hook Up" some time when I am in Australia? Kind of neat having others with the same interest around the world. I would love to bring a small valve table radio back to the US. But the ones that I have seen sell for lots of money. Oh well.
Cheers Mate! |

Hey, a catch up would be great. I'm a bit of a drive from Melbourne - about 3 hours, but worth the drive to see this part of the world - and my collection of madness!

Hi Andrew, I'm in Terang - near Warrnambool. I have several 60s sets that I would gladly trade or part with plus $ for the earlier 50s sets. I do have some parts. I also collect 1920s radios, but don't often find them anymore - apart from common US makes on ebay - but then the postage is always a problem. I used to find them going for almost nothing at clearing sales - but not much these days - oh well! As I said in my intro, I'm hoping to buy a US set form the late 40s - I particularly like the RCA 621TS but they are pricey.
