I don't know if they really do have any in stock or what your budget is but the MCM website has them listed for $152.00.

I sure wish I had a spare right now-kinda hate to see a set parted out for one, otherwise I'd set you up with a complete TV. I talked earlier this year with a woman from around Annapolis who was gutting sets to make, I don't know, liquor cabinets or some such-she mentioned having just gutted what sounded like a 23v era Zenith. I told her to contact me the next time she did one like that but I never heard anything else. I wonder if Moyers in PA has any left?

Interesting how it says "Ships Direct (Item supplied from third party warehouse)"

Wonder who that could be, possibly VDC?

thanks for all the replies! that $150 tube seems a tad steep, also they list the manufacturer as panasonic which doesnt seem right. I was hoping for something local at least.

I googled Panasonic 25AP22A and this came up.

http://www.partstore.com/Part/Matsus...22AEX/New.aspx

Much more reasonable.

Edit - I think the EX suffix means with an exchange tube, but that price still doesn't make sense.

Within the last 3-5 years I recall reading on here about a forum member buying a 23v from Video Display Corp and at a very reasonable cost. There was also someone who managed to buy one from Sears, believe it or not, though they had trouble with it.

FWIW, VDC also offers 10BP4s, at $295, but wants you to email them before ordering.

Similarly, they also offer 12AP4, 12LP4, and a few other oldies. Whether you could actually buy one is anybody's guess...

They must have woke up to the fact, that there is a serious demand for these old CRT's.
They have the equipment, why not utilize it!

I don't think that MCM price it that out of line, at least for someone that want's to regularly watch their vintage color TV. But I have no idea of the quality of the Panasonic CRT's.

25AP22 was a really popular CRT used in most 23 inch color consoles. Also a 23VALP22
should fit that TV as well. The 23VAL is a black Matrix tube and is a sub for the 25AP. Go on Craigslist look for older console color TVs, or advertise for one. I'm sure someone has a good useable tube in a set stored in a garage or basement. They were used in many different makes and brands of TVs. Also google sub numbers for that 25AP22.

I guess I can just use this tube, It's an RCA colorama rebuild but it has these annoying vertical stripes. I am told these tubes are complete junk but I don't know. I feel like I've spent a lot of time on the chassis replacing caps, tubes and resistors and so forth, doing purity and convergence adjustments and the picture looks like crap honestly. it's a tad disappointing.
