I used the 1/4" oak plywood sheet sold at Home Depot. The original was the faux woodgrain masonite.

The cabinet was stripped down to the frame and rebuilt. I also had to replace the moulding on the top front of the set. I found the exact moulding at Home Depot. It was 1/4" thinner though. I used a strip of the oak playwood the make up the difference.

The Gold and Silver are Plasti-Kote Classic Metals. They are a dead ringer for the original paint. The gold is 884 Gold Mist. The Silver is 887 Burnished Silver. They come is 6oz spray cans.
