KCS160 RCA b/w portable(mom and dad had one when I was a baby and early childhood)
A specific model Montgomery Wards 1950s Hi Fi console w/ VM changer,Mahogany in color, gray speaker cloth, record compartment on right. (A long shot I'm sure as I have no idea what model but if I saw it I would instantly recognize it as my mom's hifi from her teenage years until I was 8 yrs old) so if anybody has a Montgomery Wards Hifi send me pictures.I'll even pay to have the right one shipped.Send sams folder pictures too. It will help me identify it and I'll buy the Sams if that's it.Watching my aunt work on that unit sparked my interest in electronics and my mom's many hours of playing it got me interested in music. Unfortunately 1 of the reasons she parted with it was the scratches from me walking on it in my baby shoes as a baby. I didn't know any better back then I guess. If I can find the old picture of me as a small child playing in front of it I'll try to scan it. And definitely a CT100...lol. Last edited by JCFitz; 06-05-2011 at 11:51 PM. |

Been searching for years for an RCA model RP-21 console record player. Parents had one when I was growing up. I'd consider any model with the "V" and "evil eye" in the upper right corner. Spooked the hell out of me when I was a kid

I have a near mint RCA Selectavision VET250 VCR with the instructions, simplified instruction cards, and extra channel blanks for the display. Works great. In fact, I got it from an AK member many many moons ago. I *just* pulled it out of service because I had no room atop the living room Colortrak 2000 for it. Like maybe a month ago.
Is that the model you mean?

Okay, mine:
1. A 21" Silvertone Black and White console from the mid-60's 2. An early 23" Motorola Quasar WITD in an Early American Pecan Cabinet 3. A 1970's 25" RCA XL100 (early MA-series modules, CTC-?? ) in the Danish Modern Walnut cabinet with speakers on each end. I always loved the style - very symmetrical looking. 1 and 2 are childhood sets - moon landing/first color set we had. 3 is just a fave. Good CRTs are a must, 'cuz I've got all the other parts needed to fix any of them. ![]() I've got very little room for any of the above, but if the price was right.... Cheers,

I have a surplus Sony KV-1204 if that is close enough. Currently not working, but the tube is good.

A few more I thought of are that RCA coffee table set, and a Sylvania Halolite in a modern cabinet.
