Got this Sony 9PT40 at the thrift today for $5.00!
Works perfect!
Need it like a cold sore but I kinda like small color sets.

Doesn't look bad at all!

As long as they are working the newer trinitrons have a very decent picture.

Nice. I've picked up a few little color sets on impulse, but so far no Sony's. For whatever reason while small color sets aren't that uncommon here I've yet to see any. So far the closest I've got is a 12" broadcast monitor.

The funny thing is that for a while these little 9" Sony videotext terminals were showing up everywhere. I picked up a couple, but could never get them to do anything useful. There must have been a Sony TV that used the same case and CRT as there are mouldings in the case for a built in antenna, but I've never seen one.

So far I've just flipped the little TVs I've found (the most recent being a 9" Onwa) as I haven't liked any of them enough to keep. One that I will keep if I find one is the little 9" AWA that I'd call the Australian Portacolor.
