I'm trying to rearrange my brain ... Well ... A friend of mine gave me a 1972 Grundig 5050 Ultra Electronic (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg40/scaled.php?server=40&filename=52810827851369222279410.jpg&res=landing), some new capacitors and is now back to work, unfortunately the picture tube is half dead :sigh:

I found this Philips Leonardo (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg205/scaled.php?server=205&filename=41931426281214379294910.jpg&res=landing) bw in the dump... It has 25 tubes and automatic synchronism control! Needs restoration... :)

A few weeks ago I read an advertisement of a repairman close to retirement, and he gave away 70 TVs for free ... many people have taken the 90's sets, leaving those vintage... I pick up about 20 sets (many of these are from italian brands from 1958 to 1976) and a lot of schematics!

Brionvega 17'' (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg403/scaled.php?server=403&filename=dsc05327u.jpg&res=landing)

Diamond (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg811/scaled.php?server=811&filename=41972526703014670448210.jpg&res=landing)

Siemens Bildmeister color - 1975 (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg825/scaled.php?server=825&filename=42907026702697670479910.jpg&res=landing)

Rare bakelite CGE (Compagnia Generale di Elettricitą) (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg225/scaled.php?server=225&filename=dsc05315g.jpg&res=landing)

Late-60's Du Mont with italian 7-tube chassis (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg856/scaled.php?server=856&filename=dsc05308rz.jpg&res=landing)

Geloso... an italian classic :) (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg37/scaled.php?server=37&filename=dsc05309p.jpg&res=landing)

Galaxi 22'' - 1976 (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg843/scaled.php?server=843&filename=dsc05310s.jpg&res=landing)

Belvis (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg593/scaled.php?server=593&filename=dsc05311w.jpg&res=landing) and Magnadyne (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg818/scaled.php?server=818&filename=dsc05312d.jpg&res=landing) from 1958 with the same chassis

More sets soon...

Komet, Thanks for the pictures. Those are some neat looking vintage sets!

Visiting Europe in 1978, those TV's remind me of some I saw in Alsace and over the border in Germany while visiting distant relatives there. I knew they were old then.

Thank you guys :thmbsp:

In those days I fixed two sets taken from the repairman, this Emerson Viking 20'' (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg689/scaled.php?server=689&filename=dsc05335z.jpg&res=landing) and this Ignis 24'' (the white set, the portable is a Diamond solid state) (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg201/scaled.php?server=201&filename=41722726946633979419610.jpg&res=landing). They used the same Emerson italian chassis.

I found in the trash two glorious Bang & Olufsen... the BeoVision 5500 (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg41/scaled.php?server=41&filename=55719928098263530923310.jpg&res=landing) have a bad flyback and the BeoVision 2800 (http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg718/scaled.php?server=718&filename=42413126157422391674110.jpg&res=landing) works great but need a new teletext IC
