At all, I my with of brother me, how to Post pictures to the Internet, and now I will show you something pictures of my old television tv!

This series of television was left back by the people bought US House of the Dearborn, Michigan, MI. This is a Japanese Tv ”ADMIRAL”.:D

One thing that I did, that is that TV was very old to look at and many friends ridicule it for the old shaped look and made of wood looks. :tears::tears::tears:I think that it shows very intelligent and modern, but I thought that a good way compromises would be to make series to be more, as a new and modern television painting the silver! :thmbsp: Bad is that I lose a controller for BRIGHTNESS condition. :sigh:

Please appreciate!

Oh boy.. Well, the silver does kind of give it a modern look I guess.

Silver might make it look more modern, but I wouldn't paint something to please my friends if I already liked the way it looked.

It looks like you might have spray painted the case without removing it from the chassis. With silver paint that could cause shorts if it gets inside on something that it shouldn't. Just something to watch out for in the future.

I have a 15" tube color Sears set that someone painted with that rough stone looking paint. Talk about removing the vintage value form something. Wow

I think I like the before picture better. Just an idea....next time take a new TV and make it look OLD. It might work better doing it that way.

You know, those old Japanese:tongue: sets would lose their color:smlove: picture if not shaken:banana: now & then - kind of like salad dressing.

Personally, as long as it's in the laundry room, lower it down into the Maytag and let it do the work.:bash: Delicate cycle should be fine. Just make sure there's no bleach:yuck: in the dispenser.

At least the crt and tuning knob were spared...

Did you wash the grime off the TV before encapsulating it in silver paint?

Next time you paint:beatnik: a TV, why not spray some popcorn:lurk: texture on it. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41x5OkxZsAL._SS500_.jpg
Therefore, the vintage set will match your walls:banana:! Your friends will be awestruck:ntwrthy: and please appreciate fo' sho'.:smoke:

and we are all glad you are here :) but painting the wood or changing the appearance of any antique from what it was originally makes it difficult to see what people saw when it was new which is important to many.
Most any antique is preferred by most people to be in original condition or as close to it as possible.
However, you did a great thing by saving a very rare TV!

Sanjarali, I'm just curious. Do you speak English? Or, do you use translation software for your posts? Some languages are easy to translate between, others must be very difficult.

Okay y'all, I apologize. I just suspect Sanjarali is trying to rile us up. I do business with several natives of the Middle East and have my doubts. Painting the Admiral silver to look like a modern set was the icing on the cake. I mean, who would get mocked for having one old set in the laundry room? To me, something smells.

I won't comment any further, and I'm sorry if I upset anyone.

Hmm, I think Im going to disagree If thats the case someone has way to much time to waste.
Sense people think in language this would explain alot.

Besides the entertainment value is priceless. I take a break from fighting with something, come read this and it really lightens the mood.

I've been reading through the posts and I think CTC17 has the right attitude... Sanjar isn't trying to get your credit card info, or deposit $$$ in your bank account from Nigeria, so why get uptight? As Steve Winwood would say, "Roll with it baby." So he spray-painted a TV silver to make it appear more modern; who amongst us hasn't done the same damn thing? :D

I can only hope the poor guy isn't reading through all this and never posts again.

Oh yeah, I can also attest that a lot of Arab immigrants live in Dearborn, MI.
