Hey thought you guys might be interested in seeing this unique little set. It's a VHF/UHF/FM/AM portable made by Matsuhita in Japan in the early 70s. It's missing the external PSU so I'm using a TrippLite 12V regulated supply for it.

This one actually makes a very nice picture.

I have to of these. Except for the occasional scratchy control, i've never had a problem with either of them. Not bad little sets and they have a pretty decent radio in them too.

Cool. Yeah I De-Ox'd the controls on this one. The vertical was very jumpy because the vhold was filthy and so were the others. The radio does have a good sound to it.

Judging by the ones I've seen on You-Know-Where, Panasonic must have made 17 zillion of 'em over a long, long time... There was a 3" model, too, IIRC, that is very rare.

I have one of those, it's such a wreck I was considering tossing it.
I think I have the PS for it though.

I've always liked these, and last year finally found one at the flea market for a price I was willing to pay. ($15) Mine is newer than I like, really, dating from the later 70s. Sadly, I added it to a big pile (literally) of projects up in the attic and one night they came crashing down. It probably still works but the case is a little worse for the wear.
