From the Director of Nightmare before Christmas.
Excellent movie but definitely not for young children, it's very dark and scary, there is a Burlesque sequence that has to be seen to be believed. The stop motion animation is leaps and bounds ahead of NMBC, it's in 3D also which was very effective.

Watchmen
We watched Watchmen last night.
It was certainly interesting. It runs close to 3 hours. Visually interesting, it seems to me that they spent the first 2 hours to "set up" the story. The actress that played Silk Spectre II, Malin Akerman, wasn't too hard to watch.

3 nights ago watched 'elsewhere', blu ray. i was expecting a horror movie but it was a mystery story.
it was ok. glad i rented and didn't buy, tho.

Liam Neeson brings it to scumbag sex slavers. Not much character development, which is kind of surprising for an actor of his stature; but it is a pretty high powered action flick.

'man on wire'-- absolutely terrific doc about phillipe petit, the man who became obsessed with the idea of wire walking btw the two world trade center towers in 1975. amazing footage of him suspended in space, and the intrigue and commitment of those who aided and abetted him....
