Children of Men is set in a dark and ominous year 2027 with no children, no future and no hope. My wife did not care for the movie and I found it to be OK. So, a mild recommendation if you like action movies set in a bleak future.

Yes, we've finally made it to a bleak future. In some areas we also have the action (criminal gang shooting a block away in February), all sorts of other crap coming to a town near you.
But it was a beautiful, sunny weekend and I still have a job.
