I watched the new Indiana Jones movie. It was very good and funny. Had the dvd player hooked up to my Kenwood KR-770 and it sounded great.

Last few from Netflix: Wall-E, a little disappointing after all the hype
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, should have left sleeping dogs lie. The first three were far superior.
Mr. Deeds Goes to Town: The original with Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur. Been catching up on the old time movie classics. My favorites so far have been Harvey and Arsenic and Old Lace.

Watched Changeling over the weekend.

Werner Herzog's "Little Dieter Needs to Fly."
Brilliant documentary the way only Herzog does them.

Next is "Rescue Dawn", his dramatic version of the story, starring Christian "Don't Try to Shut Me Up" Bale

High School Musical 3

Yeah, I know... Filmed local (all of 2 blocks away!) my daughters boyfriend has a couple of shots of him putzing around, so the wife wanted to watch it. I pretty much was there playing PSP.

Unless your duaghter (or sons) S.O. is in it, stay away.

Australia, tonight.

Australia

With Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and directed by Baz Luhrmann. This movie seemed like it crapped out on the big screen. I was helping a friend and after dinner she put it on.

Set in Australia, although it could've taken place anywhere in the American West. It had the typical greedy, power hunger, big cattle baron, western story. Instead of indians there were aborigines. Since it took place in 1939 during WWII it got kinda interesting when the Japanese came to visit.

I liked it, I like westerns, even though the plot is kinda weak, it was entertaining. The Aussie lingo is fun too, but it's a long ass movie.

"Mostly Martha"

The 2001 German film (that the Catherine Zeta-Jones feature "No Reservations" was based upon... scene by scene in some cases). It's a light romantic-comedy (in German ) about two chefs and a pre-teen.

Martha is much superior.
