i'd imagine that with their production values the episodes are expensive to shoot. plus the short season keeps the story arc tight. there was so much mysterious stuff this year-- i loved the way they just left odysseus' visit to the land of the lotuseaters (don draper's california escapade and his reconnection with his former self) just completely dangling...the writers on this show are some of the best, in my opinion, willing as they are to deal in ambiguity and subtext.

I'm shocked that network TV, which I thought I'd abandoned years ago has the wife and I back. We are watching "My own worst enemy" with Christian Slater. I can't see them keeping up the intensity but for now it's really good.
