"More coffee, Warden?" is the standard question when I serve it to friends. Makes me chuckle and my guests wonder.

I believe the line is "More coffins, warden?" I have the "Big Book" which has the scripts from the 1st 3 Albums on it. I'll look it up if I can find it.

Could be, but it is in an Ersatz Brothers Coffee Commercial. The Real One.

I was not in error, Robie also had it right. His reference is in the first part. Right near the end she asks "More coffins, Warden", to which he replies, "No thanks, I've seen enough".

There's probably enough there for all us to be right.

Would love to get the book and I think I've seen it on the FST site.

Also used to love listening to National Lampoon's Radio Hour. It was a 1/2 hour show that featured many of those who went on to become SNL stars. Not as free form, train of thought or featuring the great plays on words. My FST faves were "United Snakes of Armenia" and "Napalmolive."

A friend recently gave me CDs of "Bozos", "All Hail" and "Waiting for..." which are still available on Amazon. Have also heard "Give me Liberty..." and IMO it is good too.

However, since we're the only ones in on the joke, I'm preaching to the choir (and Organ Leroy). "You already know that or you wouldn't be here."

They're like Pink Floyd and Monty Python---good when you were young, smoked pot and were smug about your hipness.

Not so good when you get old, stop getting high and realize you're just one of several billion schmucks.

In light of this thread (Oh Blinding light, Oh light that blinds...) I have dug out How Can you be in two places at once, Don't Crush that Dwarf, Hand me the Pliers, and Waiting for the Electrician or someone like him. They've been cleaned, and listened to for the first time in 15 or more years.

I'm a long way away from that smug young man and his habits, but I still find them very funny and very intelligent. I think I may appreciate them better now than I did back then - one of the reasons is probably that I have more knowledge, and get more out of the scripts.

I never considered them "drug humor" but then I never though Pink Floyd was a drug band either. Though I did witness about a 1,000 Floyd fans "hit the deck" when the giant Pig flew overhead at the Cedar Rapids Unidome.
