I was tempted to get it for $5 but once again I don't have space for unneeded things, also it ate the tape I tried in it and the remote was missing.
I believe that's a Panasonic-made unit, similar to PV-4763, from 1987. I never see one under the Radio Shack brand, though, so that's a rare unit.

I haven't been around here in a while, but anyways I'm glad I snatched up some good 1980's and early 1990's Hi-Fi VHS units, and I have extra parts for some of them too.

Today, I found a Sony SL-2710 Beta at an estate sale with 2 boxes of Beta tapes all for $30. The unit is pretty scratched up on the top, but works fine and even has it's remote! Beta has always intrigued me, and I do notice the better picture quality it provides.

I record on both VHS and DVDs, and the occasional Beta, something about the older tape based technology that I love.

I also recently found one of those really old RCA VHS machines with the piano buttons and rotary tuners on the front that only records in SP, still works!
