Those early phenolic PC boards were usually not too fragile when new, (they had to pass shipping tests) but they deteriorated with heat over time.

The Westchester is a small B&W console on legs. The case seems to have a very good wood veneer, although I have not checked it completely.
I wish that truetone36 had been in Athens around 1996. I could have given him all TVs he would have ever wanted. The 24X24 shop + the servicemans(who had just passed away) house was full of stuff. It dated from the early 1950s to the 1980s. The comment that TV manufactures made quality wood cabinets in the 1950s is not completely true. Many manufacturers, Motorola, Hoffman, GE,(even RCA) etc used masonite for their cabinets. This stuff is ok if not scratched up, but hopeless if it is. |

Link to eBay listing no longer valid
I hate to say this, but the link to the eBay listing for the Curtis-Mathes 3-way console TV in Ohio is no longer valid. I clicked on that link and was taken to a page with a message that stated, "This listing ... has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the (correct) item number." Apparently eBay cancels listings that are over 90 days old from the time they were originally posted.
