Just curious....I have an RCA XL-100 from 1991, simple 25" table top model, still works fine to this day....is this the same basic set or does RCA just keep using the same model names for continuity?

Domino, you guessed right. Names like XL-100 and Colortrak got used for decades, on many different chassis'. A lot of water had gone under the bridge between the early 70s version (a sea-change for RCA, and very popular-also a tough old bird as lots of them are still in use) and your version, which is still a decent set. The most noticeable difference might be that the old set was modular, with many seperate circuit boards instead of one big one. By the 80s components had shrunk and the industry went back to one chassis again.

Pulling up this zombie thread to say that I still have this but need to get it out of the house now due to some remodeling. Pics were lost but will try to shoot a few new ones tomorrow. If there is anyone located in the SoCal area who would like this, let me know. No charge, just help me get it down cause its on the 2nd floor.
I'll also post a similar in the classifieds. It's an XL100 console with a tilt out control panel. Not sure if it works at all since it hasn't been fired up in at least 10 years.

The TV is now down on our porch so real easy to get it loaded into whatever vehicle you may have.
Please, if anyone would like it, I'd love for you to have it. If someone really wanted it, it could be UShipped too, but obviously you'd have to pay for it to be moved.
