I'm not sure about that, but you may be able to find lithium ion batteries that are rechargable in AA form. A little more money, but well worth the expense if you use your camera frequently.

Back in the old days , 1970's 5 watt cb walkie talkies would come with two dummy batteries so when you used alkaline you would use 8 cells for 12 volts and for ni-cads you would remove the fake batteries and use 10 ni-cads for 12 volts. I guess that with 15 volts the transmitter would break some FCC laws.

Back to the TV discussion.
It is a CTC 7AA and not a CTC 9. It is 21CD872. According to Ed Reital's site the set is called the Abington. It is in the early CTC 7 models. The CRT is the original to the set. It has a 1958 date code on it. I brought it up on the tester and it is good!!!!  I missed out on a CTC 7 and got another the same week. polaraman Last edited by polaraman; 02-20-2006 at 01:01 AM.

I had a chance to pull the chassis. Both fuses are blown and I do not want to plug it in. It is really dirty. I used the vacuum cleaner with a brush to get the dirt off. I will have to take it out side to hose it off. The set has been played with. I do not know how long ago. My test equipment is not here yet. I feel the need to get at this soon.
