With all live chassis items I always use an isolation transformer. I won't test it any other way. My outlets are wires correctly (I did the rewiring) and connecting the chassis to neutral will make it safer, but I will make sure to insulate the chassis from the cabinet. The isolation transformer I use when I work on live chassis items is my best friend. The back cover is missing, and I'm not sure how the antenna is connected. I always use a 300 to 75 ohm transformer when I connect it to a signal, as there are no VHF stations in my area, so I have to use an RF modulator and a video source like a dvd player.

The Sams is missing some components, and the yoke broke on me. Should I try gluing it or just try to get a Thoardarson part?

Thanks.

Jonathan
