There is a thermistor in line of the ac is it safe to eliminate that thermistor I guess it’s for a soft start. I didn’t check it yet but I think it may be restricting the flow of ac. The thermistor is supposed to be 26.5 ohms cold but this one is showing 63 ohms cold so I don’t know if this is out far enough to affect things once heated. There is no degauss in this set.

I'm not familiar with that set, but if it has built in degaussing, the thermistor combo on the line sets the timing interval for the degaussing coil, if it does NOT have one, it's always better to keep it in as designed IMOH, as it dampens the inrush shock on start on the filter caps and diodes.

If the thermistor is on the line side of the power transformer you could measure the voltage on the transformer primary after warmup. If it's 110V or higher across the transformer primary that's all it should need.

Is there any way to check the deflection yoke without a yoke checker as this may be a cause for low high voltage I have in this set.

Unless you have a B&K 1075-1077 analyst, or an oscilloscope (IIRC you don't have a scope), or an identical yoke for substitution you can't check for shorted turns.

You can check for continuity, but open yoke failures are less common than shorts.

Yes true but the screen the last time I had it on had full verticle and horizontal was off Alittle on one side but otherwise a full screen. There was no geometry issues that I seen.
