Those two files have about as much info as you're going to find online, on the CTC38 chassis. I found the original documents on eBay - the scan quality is about as good as I could get it with my inexpensive 11x17 scanner. Sorry for the huge file size, but I think you'll find it worth the wait if you have a CTC38.

No problem, my pleasure. BTW, I checked and mine actually wasn't on "high", though I haven't had time to play with it much. Hopefully all that info will help you to get your CTC39 working to its potential too.

I hooked up something that shows horizontal linarty tonight. Super Mario bros from the NES. As Mario moves across a picture you can tell linearity very easily, It has always been a good test of mine. The CTC 39 shows perfect linearity surprisingly. Just a little stretched but this may or may not be adjustable

I set the line voltage switch to high, and then checked cathode current of the output tube. It was about 205mA, I got it down to 197 or so. The H linearity appears better now!

The test point sure makes it convenient! I notice that there are some slight squiggles in vertical lines, but that's just tired capacitors - I will change them when I get to it.

You've really been acquiring TVs lately, I hope the CTC39 doesn't get overlooked!

Nope. The 39 is the bread and butter. That's in my living room. cleaned and polished. this fall I'm going to be sanding and refinishing the top of the console. unfortunately the guy that had it had something put a deep scratch on the top. I've been thinking about the cathode current, I'll be checking that tonight. just dug out my old Micronta (radio shack) analog vom. Everything else is perfect in it now. Tubes, convergence and purity. my kids love playing the Nintendo 64 on it.

Btw I'm looking for a power/volume knob. Wouldn't happen to know where I can acquire one? Mine is cracked.
