You know, If the only thing preventing you from keeping it is it being too heavy to move, then let me share my trick for moving heavy consoles up and down stairs. All you have to do is remove all the heavy electronics from the cabbinet, move them seperately and put the set back together once you have it where it needs to be. I've used this method on several consoles with good results.

Boy, I'll tell ya - if gas weren't $4.00 a gallon I'd make an effort. I did a little math and almost threw up when I saw a round trip to Chicago would cost me just under $500 in unleaded.

I did that with my first set. It was a 21" Admiral bakelite table model. I moved it from the basement to the attic.

Well all well. RCAkid will be the proud new owner of this TV so it's going to stay in our network to be preserved.
My other list will be published shortly, but FYI, the ctc-16 table set is a keeper though! Its small and manageable and thats a huge plus for me. I can't keep combos and huge consoles anymore. I want to spread out my collection a little bit. If I have to stack the TV up in the corner and have more TV's in front of it, then it can't be appriciated by anyone so why keep it. |
