Sorry to bump this old thread, but a forty-three-inch Sony Trinitron CRT?! I wanna see that! I'd think anything bigger than 40 inches would collapse in upon itself and form a black hole!

Saved this cool old Sony. It will soon be on its way. While it is not the exact model...pretty darn close KV-2645RS, I have always wanted one of these sets and it will soon be at my house thanks to Uship. It was way cheaper to do that than to take the trip to get it.

Anyway, glad to bring it home....just hope there are no ghosts in it. :c)

IIRC, as read here, they DID make a gollywhopper 43" tube set-Most of 'em were studio monitors, I think the civilian version cost about a gazillion bux. And the more "Normal" 40" Trinitrons were an iffy proposition-They were "Available" this week, but not the next, and "available" the week after that...Like I said elsewhere, I'm still "Ticked" at Sony for pulling the plug on Trinitrons...
