Sometimes, GE used a portable TV chassis and CRT for a shallow console TV. Viewed from the back of such a console, it looked literally like someone mounted a portable set in the console (but it wasn't a DIY job). This console had a really big oval speaker outside the normally portable set cabinet, below the CRT in the console.
