I phoned a local tv shop that was listed with my coupons-they were the only independent on the list. I thought she said Access was the brand they carried; she also told me they had analog pass-through. Without checking the list, maybe there are 2 models? I thought about getting one just to help a local business out. I did finally get a pair of converters last week. Someone on ARF had given me their coupons and they were about to expire. I decided to ultimately get 4 different models just to cover my bases. First is the DigitalStream from RadioSchlock, then a Magnavox from Wal*Mart. (I didn't like the idea of shopping at WallyWorld but both local Sears stores were sold out) The DigitalStream is more expensive but also more versatile. The pass-through seems to work well and it is user friendly, I would say. Reception on both units is comparable. Bad news: I need to do some serious antenna work before February. Neither of my current setups will get me anything but one channel (and it's subchannel) I kinda figured that would be the case. A few others show up here and there but the signal strength is way to low for a watchable picture/sound. All I really want to add is one of the PBS stations so maybe just a little tweaking will do it.
