I bought a chinese degaussing coil on ebay for about $16 shipped Did the job just fine for me. Disregard the 220vac thing, thats an error on the seller's part, plus, it uses a US plug. http://cgi.ebay.com/TV-CRT-Picture-T...QQcmdZViewItem

Can I ask what the original part number was to the degaussing thermistor? I might have one, if not one of the Workman "globar" replacements. Moyer's has a really cool cross reference for the Workman stuff on their site. In the left frame, click on "Thermistor Cross Ref".

Cheers,

""Moyer's has a really cool cross reference for the Workman stuff on their site. In the left frame, click on "Thermistor Cross Ref".""

I took a look at this and I'm not quite sure if they have it or not, it gives 2 cross references to 63-5444:

3-5444
FR191
120 ohm @ 25°C

**63-5444
FRTV1
Thermistor

But the sams I have says 63-5444 should cross to FR-922 which should be 100 ohms(which they don't seem to have).

Adam,

If you want to use a bulk tape eraser for degausing as Chad has mentioned, I have one sitting in a closet that I do not use anymore and it's yours if you want it.No charge...

Those used to be commonly sold in thermistor varistor pairs. I had a bunch of them before I moved, but I don't know what happened to them. I'm not sure how you would find one of these generic replacements, even though I'm sure places like Moyer's still has some.

I believe I have the part on a 67 chassis here if I know what it looks like you can have it. If your interested I'll take a snapshot of the chassis and you can pinpoint it to me.
