Watched 'Man of the Year' with Robin Williams yesterday - very topical and funny as hell.

Saw Ratatouie Friday night.A very intelligent script, very involving. Not as funny as I was hoping, but then again,I think you have to take it for what it is,not as a Looney Tune cartoon.

Just got back from seeing Sicko with my wife.We are both at polar opposites on the political scale, and we both were moved by the film.A real call to action,no matter what your political party is.

Breech, with Chris Cooper (who seems to be wearing lipstick throughout the whole thing).

Very well done, and very sad.

Quote:
Colin Powell and President Bush's first encounters with Russian President Vladimir Putin: As Powell recalled it after the meeting he and Bush were reviewing events and comparing notes and seemingly they disagreed. At one point Bush looked at his Secretary of State and said "Powell, I looked into Putin's eyes and I saw his soul" to which Powell replied: "Mr. President, I looked into President Putin's eyes and I saw the KGB".

Not Recommended

A Scanner Darkly, on DVD-V. This movie is based on the novel by Philip K. Dick. I kept waiting for it to get interesting. Not terrible but not worth recommending.

Skyjacked, 1972. Not great but better than Trog.

Features stars such as Rosie Grier, Charlton Heston and Laurie Partridge...err... I mean Susan Dey.

I saw Transformers tonight.Typical dumb Hollywood script. And the director,Michael Bay(Armageddon,Pearl Harbor,The Rock)panders to the lowest common denominator, treating the audience like idiots.
And it was more fun than a barrel of tube amps. The special effects are just unbelievable, and the action is sometimes so amazing,I was laughing out loud. And the girl.Ok,Im old enough to be her dad,but thats one gorgeous girl.
Lotsa fun.

Tormented, 1960

A low budget ghost story directed by Bert I. Gordon.

Man kills girlfriend to keep his fiancee from finding out about her, Haunting ensues.

Watched the MST3K version of this movie and it was one of their better ones.

Rock All Night, 1957

Directed by Roger Corman.

Despite the title there's not much rocking, a couple numbers by The Platters and a pretty good set by some band called "The Blockbusters"
There's also a 50 year old "Beatnik" who looks like Col Sanders and walks around speaking in ridiculous Hep Cat lingo.

It's like cool daddy-O.

I saw Bruce Willis's "Live Free....Or Die Hard" last night.
Guns....burning cars....blood....huge body count....
There was even a love interest in the movie.
Too bad she died in an elevator shaft....from an SUV dropping on her!!!!!
A MUST SEE. ................
