Yes, He most likely has! Doug knows him and has gotten some good sets from him also. (The guy has a house full of tv's)
I think he just hates the thought of having to throw it out and hopes someone will want it...

I would buy the set if it was in my range. It would be really sad to see it get trashed. I got this set last night for free. I think it is like the one on ebay!? I tested all the tubes and found 5 bad tubes. The set works like a brand new set now. Has an excellent picture. This set sat at the man's Tv shop for over 20 years. I rescued it!
