I wasn't just being a comedian. My 1965 Zenith 5111 set had an "efficiency" coil, or horizontal linearity coil that the plastic had disintegrated and the windings were just sort of flopping around with no way to adjust the output tube's cathode current. Long story on color sets and cathode current.

Anyway, I thought for the longest time that I was going to have to luck out and find someone with a spare chassis and a donor that I could buy. I didn't have any luck going that route. I knew I had good luck with Moyers in the past, but just wouldn't expect anyone to house a 50 year old coil that not many people talk about. Turns out they had two and with other things going on I failed to put in my order immediately. Two weeks later both were gone! I couldn't believe it. Evidently more people are needing them than what I thought or saw evidence of on here. Luckily for me an Internet search on the part # came up with one more place in the world that listed the part.

I ended up getting it for $10 more than Moyer's and dealt with not so friendly people. Supposedly this company had been around long enough to still have the part but had grown so much since the days of repairing home entertainment equipment that their sales rep was not used to an individual calling to have a single part sent to their home. They made it utterly apparent that my business was not what they were used to doing. Evidently years ago they shifted to dealing only with industrial repair services or whatnot. Either way I had to be humble and get what seemed to be the last coil for my TV on Earth.
