I would guess mid to late 50's on that based on the CRT shape'
Don't know anything about the electronics but judging by the cheap faux finish cabinet I would guess lower end, possibly series string but maybe not.
Hoffman made really good stuff in the late 40's but by this time I think they had declined a lot.

I'd take it for free, it might yield a good CRT at least which could be used in something else or traded for something you want.
