Last fall meet at DVHRC Kutztown, I rescued a Philco 42-1008 that is missing the speaker, knobs and tubes. That cabinet looks great. Last saturday, I was in the area and stopped as 3-4 guys were still there packing up.
Found in the junk pile a Philco early version 118-X, cabinet only. Now I am looking for a chassis. The guy begged me to rescue it. Some guys just do not want to bring stuff back home. I will be there May 13, 2012 trying to sell a few, but always come home with more. Such is this hobby - save them all! Dave Goodling
