Difference between DVD and Blu-ray?

I guess some of us see a different point of view on mixing the old tech with the new. Blue ray is just a recording format and with the right computer software and graphics card you can easily drive an antique TV set. It's not expecnsive to do since computers are cheap and so are display cards ...maybe the trick is knowing that you can do it? Anyways, I do and have alot of fun with it. The results are quite spectacular!
