that tube either has a lot of hours on it or 1 or more boosters have been on it a while.
probably a goner.
btw i have seen 3 boosters stacked on a ctc38.
that tube was so dead no light at all could be seen even in a dark room with all 3 g2 turned up.
the back end looked chrome plated like your picture.
