 It should only take about 2 seconds to destroy an LCD flat panel TV.

Not surprising really. I think the very worst vintage TV smasher I've seen was a music video performed by rock band Blink 182, where Mark Hoppus smashed more than 10 vintage Zenith Chromocolor IIs, like this one on YouTube, in one row with a baseball bat.
