Is there a FAQ for who owns who?

I mean to ask, is there a compilation of what companies were succeeded by whoever?

Zenith bought by Goldstar etc etc That sort of thing. Would also like to find out who built the various big name private label brands like Sears.

Unless such a list already exists, this would be a real handy thing to have as it would help those with a historical interest and assist those needing to ID their set for repairs.

Obviously there will be instances where a company went thru several owners or a private label used several suppliers. This would need to be addressed as well.

Another thing that'd be nice would be a list of all TV makers (at least American) along with their dates of operation and perhaps where they were built.

PS I wasn't sure what forum category to put this under, but thought that because SS sets where built in more recent times and that more companies have morphed since long ago that it made sense to post here.
