Al Capone's vault (sort of)
As you may/may not know, I've got a home in Arizona that has been no-sale for a while. After spending a few weeks out there, I decided to rent it out.
I also brought a set out there for Jordan, but wasn't able to find time for a San Diego visit. I didn't treasure the idea of dragging it back to Michigan, so... This house has a closet that goes under the stairway/landing. I hollowed out some of the area under the stairs, and decided to store a few items out there for my next trip... which will be at least a year, depending how long I decide to lease the house. Knowing that tenants love to take anything that isn't bolted down, I knew I'd have to hide my touch-up paints, cheap IKEA furniture, towels, dishes, etc. for my next stay. So I built a false wall in the closet, entombing my junk for another day. Anyways, the pictures you see below are the result. The set on top is the RCA I picked up for $10 back in Feburary at an estate sale. Very good picture from this set I might add... Not quite Chromacolor II, but still very good. Figured you guys might get a laugh. ![]() After:
