When I was 9 years old, I experienced my first bad experience when the power transformer in my old Capehart crapped out and the set caught fire! I remember that day every time I smell burned insulation. and then there was last year when the selenium rectifier in my RCA kcs136 went. I'll never forget that smell, and neither will my wife! she still doesn't want my sets in the house!!
