Collecters need to step into the modern era

I dont understand your fascination with this old crap. Why dont you step into the real world and go get a 40 inch lcd? Wal-mart has a relly nice Sanyo for 1500.00 that will last a good 5 to 7 years. Who wants to watch that old junk you guys look at?? Sure , I like the old sturdy Trinitons of the 80's(not those ugly 70's), but to say they can compare to a nice Sanyo 600.00 30 inch widescreen HDTV is ludicrous. I think you guys priorities are askew and need their alignment adjusted. To worship teleevision gear simply because of build quality and ignore the innovation of new high resolution large screen tv's is archaic. Most of the old TV's you guys collect are worthless. Theres a few cool ones, for sure though. TV's do not age well like other audio collectibles. Some audio gear is agelessss and timeless, but those old console tv's aside from a few weird astronaut space command type sets are uninspiring to say the least, and even junk.I asy- junk 70's% of of those old tv's- worthless outmoded obsolete trash! The fact that a collectors market exixits for this junk is unbelivable!LIke I say, audio gear is a different beast! That stuff is always good.
