I don't know why they can't just put up a big sign that tells people all electronics are sold as-is and are to be used at the customers own risk. Hell, even make people sign a paper acknowledging that they understand the policy when they buy some electronics. This seems totally reasonable considering you can't even install a screen saver without signing away all your rights.

I thought governments were trying to reduce the amount of toxic electronics that gets trashed. Is it actually a law, or is the SA just afraid of being sued?
