dudes-- my neighbors moved, and i saw lying down in their left behind trash, this flat screen monitor, maybe a 17" or so. covered in some really bad goo. but i grabbed it, and it seems intact, but the screen appears to be covered by a soft plastic film which has bubbled. it needs to be cleaned and i wonder how aggressive i can be with soap and water and stuff w/o goobering up electronics. is it even worth trying to find out if it works?

recommends?
