There was quite a bit of manufacturing in Spain. I am just finishing up a post about my first restoration of a Spanish-made Philco set, Zenith and GE also operated factories here (kind of), and there were several national brands with factories here during the dictatorship.

I also have a GE-branded set that was built in Spain but opening it up it's full of components from another manufacturer whose name escapes me but they made lots of UK stuff too.

Really fascinating to think that Spain had been simulcasting what was basically the same television system on VHF and UHF For five decades!

The Navacerrada channel E2 transmitter was still going a few years ago. It's low frequency made it a favorite of television DXers in an arc running from Ireland, the UK, Germany, the Warsaw Pact countries and Greece (an arc 1600km from Navacerrada - 1600km being the ideal distance for VHF signals by sporadic-E).
