Every dollar the power company spends on an old, evil "energy hog" refrigerator are dollars they don't have to spend upgrading their power production... Which is why they are so interested in pushing it.
Never mind that plain ol' attrition would do the job eventually and that everyone taken out of service equals another sent over from a nation with no pollution controls; on a container ship that burns the dirtiest form of oil available. But I digress. Junk-science environmentalism is the new state religion. I just hope the NSA didn't hear me blasphemy.
