Exclamation Let's talk about vintage VCR repair.

I have had an interest in Vintage VCR's for many years. I have a few that work great (very few), a few more that need new belts, idlers, etc. And I have some that need more than I can provide.Among these are a Panasonic PV-1600 (needs new tungsten lamp), Sony SL-5000 (needs recapped, cleaned), a Very high end 1985 Panasonic Tech4 Stereo Hi-Fi (Switch Mode Power Supply needs recapped, needs new idler tire), And a 1986 Magnavox VR9525AT01, that I got for Christmas 2009 (works, but is developing the SMPS failure) I really want to learn more about vintage VCR repair. Recapping, Belt/Idler replacment, proper head cleaning methods, etc.
