Yoke "case" repair

Recently, I read on the blog or elsewhere on the internet how someone
replace the plastic rear case of the yoke using available plastic kitchen
containers.The plastic on the yoke of the CTC4 has decayed and is
not presentable. Its not affecting operation,I would like to repair.
Does anyone recall where I saw this repair description.
